Your class will also think about objects that could be measured in centimetres, metres and kilometres, and make decisions about which units would be best to measure a variety of things from the length of a book to the length of an elephant!

This lesson will hone their estimation skills as they make educated guesses about various lengths, before finding out how close their estimates were. They can even estimate distances around them and measure them for themselves to see how close they were.
